About KUBEAC Programs

Introduction

The Knowledge Unit of Business, Economics, Accountancy and Commerce (KUBEAC) is an emerging school of University of Management and Technology (UMT) Sialkot Campus. The campus was established in 2012 in line with the programs offered by University of Management and Technology, Lahore. Now this Knowledge Unit has evolved into a premier school of higher learning in the region. This success rests on the high teaching, practice and research standards maintained by the University over the years. This Unit is an integral part of UMT, Lahore, which is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as a “W4” category (highest rank), and the first in the Punjab amongst medium sized general category universities. The Unit is located in the main part of Sialkot, named as City Campus. The University, in addition to (KUBEAC) has state-of-the-art science, engineering and textile laboratories, computer network, well-stocked library and digital resources to facilitate learning and research. The University also offers generous financial assistance to students. Scholarships and merit based awards are being availed by a large number of students.

The programs at the KUBEAC at UMT, Sialkot Campus are rigorous, result oriented, globally focused and application based. The programs are geared to equip future leaders, professionals and executives with the knowledge, technology, skills and insight essential to make a difference in the organizations. The graduates are groomed by one of the finest business faculties in the country for the roles of leaders and managers in the fields of Marketing, Management, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems and Finance. Since establishment of the KUBEAC, we have been exploring new horizons to serve the academia and business world. The Knowledge Unit has proudly demonstrated innovation, integration and up gradation as the most dominant elements of its programs. The KUBEAC is positioned with distinct image due to high class faculty possessing excellence in academic and industrial knowledge. The contents produced by them are equipped with groundbreaking ideas, conceptual knowledge and tools to tackle fluctuating situations of corporate sector which endorse the practical exposure of the students in a dynamic environment. Apart from traditional teaching methodology, KUBEAC focuses upon tailored pedagogy for students according to their level and requirements of the curriculum. Academic Accreditations

University of Management and Technology, SBE has availed South Asian Quality Systems (SAQS) and National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) accreditation. The KUBEAC is an integral part of this system and has been registered for the accreditation by the council. The next target of the Unit is to be accredited by all other regional, national and international business/ management related forum and bodies. The Unit has been remarkably developing its membership at international forums and communities, maintaining nationally and internationally recognized diverse portfolio of higher learning, professional training, executive development, practical research, and consulting solutions.

Transformation of Knowledge

The KUBEAC it is envisioned to disseminate knowledge in the formal classes with opportunities to learn beyond physical premises of the Unit. It develops networking with other educational bodies and business executives to share their ideas, practices and realistic approaches. Various co-curricular activities under official clubs and societies build clear vision and strategy in students. We encourage our students to challenge assumptions, think beyond visible boundaries and add values to their careers. The learning strategies are designed to build models for the students focusing competency and capability to address emerging local, regional and global challenges.

The privilege and honor we attained is that the corporate/ industrial world overwhelmingly welcomes KUBEAC graduates. The collaboration with both international and local professional bodies sanctions our students to be part of the relevant industry and fill the requirements of the corporate sector through general and specialized knowledge. Our students are provided with a platform for regular interaction with professionals and experts. Moreover, our dedicated team gets engaged with organizations to design programs specifically for their needs. Our customized programs shore up the worth of executives who join us to enhance their expertise.

Infrastructure

The KUBEAC facilitates its students through purpose-built resources for their exclusive use. Since its inception we emphasizing upon continuous investment in staff, facilities, research and resources, with the specific objective of educating and developing global business/ management leaders. Information Processing Center (IPC) accommodates provide the backbone to advanced information and communication technologies. Its standards meet the international requirements of highly advanced IT equipment and services including 286 Intel® Core™ i5 Systems, 130 Intel® Core™ i3 Systems, 4 computer classrooms with 42 PCs each, 2 HP 9050 laser printers, 14 Mbps CIR Internet bandwidth, color printers, and scanners and CD/DVD writers. All the participants of the university are being provided with the latest IT facilities with highly skilled and professional support and assistance in an ideal work environment. The Unit supports its academic programs and research initiatives through an automated library, on-site collections and a variety of online services. UMT, Sialkot Campus library is an indispensable source of information and is one of the excellent working libraries of Pakistan.
