Introduction
The Knowledge Unit of System and Technology (KUST) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Sialkot Csampus aims to generate a continuous stream of new scientific and technical knowledge to attract young talented students, and transform them into leaders of tomorrow’s technology organization. In order to fulfill its mission, the school strives to create a culture that attracts, develops and retain the best scientific and technical minds available. The School of Science and Technology encourages faculty members and students to undertake research and development and engage in collaborative work with industry. This provides them insight into the real world problems. KUST graduates may work in an international environment. Therefore, class instruction and interaction between students and faculty members is conducted in English to ensure that graduate possess written and spoken fluency in English. This is accomplished foremost in the required laboratories, term reports, senior design projects and internships.
The programs are designed to satisfy general requirements. They also meet the criteria adopted by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. All undergraduate (BS) programs at SST are semester based four year degree programs. A departmental curriculum committee periodically reviews and proposes updates in order to keep them in line with the best international universities.
Mission Statement of Program
BS Computer Science program aims to impart IT and Communication knowledge and skills to students along with a sense of ethical and moral obligations.
