Biography:
Dr. Zain Ul Abideen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Sialkot Campus, Pakistan. He is a PhD graduate in Economics (Majoring in Finance) from the Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing, China. His areas of research are at the nexus point of digital economy and finance, corporate finance, sustainable finance, behavioral finance, and risk management. Dr. Zain has established a strong research profile with multiple publications in high-impact journals indexed in SSCI and SCIE, as well as journals recognized by ABS, ABDC, and HEC (W category). His work is mainly on sustainability reporting, investor sentiment, ESG investments, and financial stability; especially in emerging markets. His work uses sophisticated econometric and quantitative methods, such as a panel data analysis, instrumental variables, and machine learning, to solve complicated financial problems. Moreover, he is an active peer reviewer of the top-tier international journals.
