Sajid Iqbal is senior lecturer in Financial Management at University of Management (UMT), Sialkot. He also served a year at University of Faisalabad as lecture finance. He is interested in psychological and behavioral approaches towards stock markets, modern portfolio theory and energy efficiency financing. He studied financial management from Baha-ud-Din Zakariya University, Multan and Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Islamabad. In recognition of his continuing excellence in MPhil, he was awarded of Dean Honor Award by the school of management sciences in MAJU Islamabad, and then awarded of Best Research Idea Award in PhD by the school of business & management studies in 6th international research symposium, Superior University, Lahore.
Mr. Iqbal is chairing Case Study Center of KUBEAC at University of Management & Technology, Sialkot. He has vast experience of working on case based method of teaching, training and development. Very shortly, he positioned case study center of KUBEAC at international level. He and his team are actively collaborating with Deputy Director, Case study center, UK.Mr. Iqbal has served as Article Editor of multiple research papers with Sage Open Journal (Springer) since 2020. He is also working as External Trainer (Financial Management) with Chamber of Commerce DG Khan and Faisalabad to train the managers and different stakeholders of small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs). So far, multiple training sessions are delivered on financial management practices, financial literacy and behavioral approaches towards finance in SMEs.
Mr. Iqbal has presented many papers in national as well as international conferences on themes ranging from Investment performance to energy efficiency financing in South Asia. In 2021, he was the only Pakistani who got selected as young research scholar to represent Pakistan at a conferences hosted by the Asian Development Bank Forum in China which was co-chaired by the Journal of Finance Research Letters (Elsevier). There he presented a paper on Challenges to energy efficiency financing during COVID-19 crises in G7 economies. Mr. Iqbal also published a newspaper article in Global Village Space (GVS) on Annual Budget (2021-22) of Pakistan. GVS is an online news portal and a monthly magazine of politics and current affairs chaired by the prominent Pakistani political analyst, Dr. Moeed Pirzada, from Islamabad, since 2017. The title of article is Did PTI presents a pro-peoples Budget?
Mr. Iqbal frequently writes research article for the journals of Springer, emerald and Elsevier. Besides he as delivered talks and lectured on financial literacy of women entrepreneurs, financial decision making, investment performance, energy financing and smart cities financing at Universities like UMT Lahore, Sohar University Oman, BZU Multan, University of Baluchistan, Ghazi University and University of Lahore Sargodha campus.
