The rise of the social media has been described as the key driver to networking, sharing, and building organizational networks. Its impact on the university students has been significant over the years and almost every university in the world now maintains an active social media presence. Social media use by universities has become ubiquitous. Facebook has become the most prevalent social media tool in higher education because prospective students, parents, current students, alumni are all connected through Facebook.
Currently, Social Media team at OCM keeps the UMT community updated about the latest developments and progress made by the University in both academic and extra-curricular fields. It represents UMT through all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) and aims to generate awareness and community good will, spread positive word of mouth for UMT by building connections with target audience and enhancing UMT brand image.
