Program Overview
Keeping in view the demand of 21st century, we havedeveloped an interdisciplinary curriculum to develop outstanding professional with skills. Our
faculty members are striving hard to bring forth thereal talent of our students to make them real artists of the Era. We are focusing on traditional ways of teaching Arts with new technology, modern tools and recent techniques. Our aim is to develop the spirit of creativity in our students so that they may explore
their personal talent and lead the world with the strokes of their brushes.
In addition, emphasis is placed on acquiring a knowledge of historical and contemporary artistic practice both regionally and internationally through the study of art history and visual culture theory. The intent is to provide students with a solid understanding of art and a context in which to develop their own work.
WHY STUDY FINE ARTS?
Fine Art allows students to specialize in any area of Fine Art practice – It is a subject that demands critical thinking, resourcefulness, independent research and historical and contemporary contextualization of an individual’s interests.
The opportunity to develop a particular (or a range) of subject specialist skills and knowledge which includes drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, digital photography, film, performance, sound, and art history.
Careers include practicing self-employed artists; gallery and museum curating; teaching from primary school to higher education level; community arts and council and gallery arts education officers.
CAREER OBJECTIVES
Knowledge Unit of Textile and Design(STD) offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, exposes students to a wide range of activities faculty, resources and facilities. STD is the first school to focus on the promotion and study of Islamic Art perspectives in almost all disciplines of art and design.
