UMT has been ranked among the top 500 universities in regional QS Asia University Rankings for 2019. UMT performed among the top 90% in the QS Asia University Rankings. According to the 2019 edition, UMT ranks in 250 + Asian institutions in terms of academic reputation, employer reputation and inbound exchange students.
This great achievement is the result of the visionary and scholarly leadership of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad whose dream was to lead UMT and bring it at par with top international universities. This great milestone is attributable to the dynamic leadership of President UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad, Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, Abid H K Shirwani, DG UMT, Dr A Rashid Kausar, and all colleagues and staff members of QEC and UMT. The dedicated and committed team efforts of Quality Enhancement Cell of UMT, academic departments / schools /institutes and University Management Offices (UMOs) went a long way towards achieving this distinction. It is worth mentioning that UMT QEC has gained the top W category for the last six years consistently which bears testimony to the passion and commitment of the team.
