Department of Marketing at HSM offered the course of International Marketing in Fall 2015 at UMT Sialkot Campus to specifically cater to the industry requirements of Sialkot city. In this course, MBA and BBA final year participants at Sialkot Campus were being taught and oriented with the international marketing practices, processes, and activities with special reference to the products being manufactured and exported from Sialkot.
In order to provide the participants with hands-on experience of International Marketing, participants were exposed to a simulation game on 31-12-2015. Participants were divided into four groups and were given following international trade scenarios against which they were supposed to make certain international marketing decisions.

Participants were required to analyze the targeted trade market in terms of its size, culture, climate, trade pattern, and consumption pattern etc. Participants were also required to make calculated international trade decisions based on their analysis using documented international trade data, negotiate the trade terms, explore the tariffs, identify the optimum trade route on the global map and identify further trading possibilities for the growth purposes. There also was a live news board at the simulation venue which was releasing multiple international trade news relevant to the products being traded in the simulation and the participants were adjusting their decision accordingly.
Mr Syed Muhammad Belal, Director Sialkot Campus also visited the simulation venue and interacted with the participants to inquire about their learning from the activity.
